Positive: The king room was very good and comfortable with a great view of the lake. Spacious and well equipped. Staff did their best to help and were very polite.
Negative: Although the lakeside location was nice it was remote from being able to access on foot a range of local amenities. No grab taxis available. We felt isolated and coupled with no English speaking staff it was not possible to make any enquiries about the locality during our 5 night stay as it was only broken English. The coffee shop was not always open and when it was it did not offer the range of drinks that it advertised. The a’ la carte menu was not a’ la carte at all and extremely limited and basic. There were 3 breakfast choices and also small portions. The swimming pool we could not access because it had not been cleaned and was full of algae. The picture below is after the initial cleaning and it took a second day to get up to scratch. There are only 4 sun loungers around the pool and nowhere else to sit if these are taken. Once everyone arrived for the public holiday and the pool was fully cleaned it was then packed with families playing and not able to use for relaxing or swimming. We constantly had mosquitoes in the room. During our stay, the public holiday called reunification day, bought many more local people to the hotel. It seemed that the facilities were only then cleaned and opened up for the other guests. Had this not been a public holiday the advertised facilities were not open or ready for use by us. The reason we booked a 5 night stay here was a result of their advertised facilities, however we could not access any of these, which was a huge disappointment.
Summary: The hotel is nice but did not have the facilities operational during our stay.
